This Saturday, October 14th I will be at the Edwards Opera House in Edwards, NY as part of their Singer-Songwriter Series. The show is free thanks to a fantastic grant, and I’ll be playing for about 90 minutes. It’s a beautiful space and if you live within driving distance I would love to see you. If not, the Opera House Livestreams their events and you can watch it by heading over to https://edwardsoperahouse.com/livestream

It’s going to be a great show!

25 years ago this month Mike, Tom, Pat and I went into Eclipse Recording in Hinesburg, VT with Joe Egan and recorded Three Mile Limit’s first studio album. And for Bandcamp Friday on August 6th we will be releasing the 25th Anniversary Edition of the album. This special version will contain the full 13 track album as well as 6 bonus tracks selected from our cassette releases. So if you like interesting harmonies and catchy songs, visit threemilelimit.bandcamp.com and check it out.

Back in November of 1999 Chris and Ana drove down to Boston to appear on the WERS morning show the Coffee House.

At that time the Coffee House was one of the biggest platforms for acoustic and folk music and it was a pretty big deal.

Chris and Ana played six songs that morning. Three of them made it as bonus tracks on Some Things Never Change, but the other three performances haven’t been heard since the day they were broadcast over the airwaves.

For the final Bandcamp Friday the entire six song set was remastered from the original soundboard recordings.

Head over to bandcamp and check it out. https://christitchner.bandcamp.com/album/live-on-the-coffee-house-on-wers-889-fm

The great folks at Burlington City Arts, who were nice enough to invite to play their Summer Music Series, have posted a video of my performances of Austin and Hold Up on their Facebook page. It’s a great video that was put together by the folks at Robot Dog Studio.

The video can be seen here: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10157199237186631&id=24632871630&extid=TNVq9C6Utn5aTTkH

The first reviews are in for Already Gone, and it’s being well received by critics! Here are some of the highlights, but please follow the links below to read the reviews in their entirety!

“Titchner, a sprightly acoustic guitarist and singer, has a fresh, springy sound, bright and coursing like a brook. He also has a clear, natural voice and a knack—for better and worse—for fitting long, complex, grammatically correct speeches into catchy singalong tunes.”

Brian Howe
IndieWeek.com, February 26, 2020

“Chris Titchner’s new release, ‘Already Gone’, combines catchy songwriting with a complete disregard of stylisitic homogeny. Folk, pop, New Orleans jazz…they all coexist on an album anchored by Titchner’s consistent acoustic guitar work, ear-grabbing lyrics, and solid vocals.”

Jesse Paliotto
TheGuitarJournal.com, February 25, 2020

“The musical equivalent of a novelist blossoming in obscurity, Titchner has taken the long way around to get where he is now but the wait was worth it if the result is such a killer back porch set like this… this is [a] top shelf folkie find.”
